Grace Episcopal Church - Parish Hall, 2955 River Road West, Goochland, VA
The charming Grace Episcopal Chapel dates to the late 1800s. This new Parish Hall provides Sunday School, office and Fellowship space for a growing congregation, while maintaining the scale, texture, and style of the original Chapel. The design of the building utilizes the fall of the land to disguise its mass and provide separate entrances for different functions.
Since numerous organizations use the facilities of Grace Episcopal Church, the design allows the Ground Floor to function as a separate area for outside groups. Sunday School rooms, two Nurseries, a small kitchen, and a multipurpose meeting room are located off a main entrance from the lower parking area. This portion of the building can be locked separately.
Church offices, a multipurpose conference and choir room, the Parish Hall, and a larger kitchen are located on the first floor and are used primarily for church activities. This level has entrances at the same level as the chapel and has a porch off the Parish Hall overlooking the historic church cemetery.
